The Pokhara Premier League (PPL) is an expert Twenty20 cricket alliance set to be held in Nepal.

PPL is an inception of Queen’s Event Management Private Limited. Pokhara Premier League (PPL) will be represented and named after various major cities in Nepal and they will be competing in between. International Cricket Council (ICC) has given full  support as this league meets all the required requirements.The first season of this league will be starting from October 26 2018.

The accomplishment of sacking an ODI status unmistakably makes space for Nepali Cricket to meet the models of global cricket. The Managing Director of the PPL Chhumbi Lama, talking in a press meet in Kathmandu, said that Over the span of meeting such standard, delivering competitions like PPL will build exposure to Nepali local players, will aid the infrastructural improvement in the cricket field.  Not only this, tournaments like this will help to  assemble cricket relations among global cricket fraternity.

A  big budget of  7.85  million has been utilized by 6 teams to buy a total of 69 players. A together of 179 players were registered for the auction. Players Sagar Pun, Anil Kumar Sah, Mohammad Aarif Sheik, Karan KC, Basant Regmi, Rohit Kumar Paudel and Binod Bhandari went for most estimation of Rs 250,000 in the auction.This is the first league in Nepals’s franchise cricket history, the players have been given the rights to raise their base price amount. OYO is marked as the prime hospitality partner whereas the live game will be aired on Himalayan Television.

Coordinators have declared six groups and their marquee players for the up and coming Pokhara Premier League cricket competition. Kings Events Pvt Ltd declared that Kathmandu Royals, Pokhara Paltans, Chitwan Rhinos, Butwal Blasters, Biratnagar Titans and Dhangadhi Blues will take participation in the Pokhara Premier League PPL that will start on October 26 2018 (Karthik 9).
Acoording to the organizers there will be six teams competing for the cup. Maximum of two international players are allowed in a team. namely the teams will be:

1. Chitwan Rhinos:

This team in Pokhara Premier League PPL will be representing chitwan city. Paras Khadka captain of Nepali Cricket team is set as the marquee player of this team. Team owner of Chitwan Rhinos is Rahul Mahara/Resham Bohora.
